PURPOSE
This troop was formed in order to provide the boys with the best scouting experience possible. While the Boy Scout program is built around fun, its primary purpose is to teach citizenship, character building, and physical and mental fitness. At the heart of the program is the Scout Oath (or Promise) and Scout Law.
HISTORY
Now having completed over thirty years in operation, the troop has had a membership of as many as 35 scouts. This troop is recognized as one of the higher achieving troops in the area, earning honors at many district events. Through membership, advancement, activities, and training, we achieved the Quality Unit Award every year.
SUPPORT
In support of this program Troop 394 adult leaders are present as advisers, insuring safety and keeping the program oriented toward Scouting ideals. Troop, patrol and patrol council meetings, camping trips and day trips shall be run by boy leaders, not by the adults. In Scouting we believe that the best way to develop leadership is to let the boys have as much freedom as possible; applying just enough adult authority to keep them safely focused on the task at hand.

Hello I am interested in possibly having my
Child join a Boy Scout troop. What info do I need? He is going to be in the sixth grade and attends abc school district. Thank you .
Hi May,
Thanks for your interest in the scouting organization. To be eligible for Boy Scouting, your son would either need to be 11 years old or have completed the 5th grade — the latter of which he has fulfilled. You are welcome to stop by one of our meetings to see if our Troop would be a good fit for you, and you can find out a good time to attend by calling one of the phone numbers on this page.
Sincerely,
Troop 394
