Vivek Kasarabada’s Eagle Project – 12/19-21/09

An Eagle Project (by definition) is…

The Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, known as the Eagle Scout Project or more simply as the Eagle Project, is the opportunity for a Scout in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community. This is the culmination of the Eagle Scout candidate’s leadership training, and it requires a significant effort on his part. The project must benefit an organization other than the BSA, but it cannot be performed for an individual or a business, be solely a fundraising project, or be commercial in nature.

RECAP

In the words of Eagle Scout Candidate Vivek Kasarabada:

Day 1: Thank you for all of the help today.  We finished ahead of schedule even though we had less scouts than planned.  I greatly appreciate all the efforts of the parents.  The concrete work is not easy, but together we were able to do it.  I hope everyone had a good time today!

Day 2: Thank you for all of the help today.  We finished ahead of schedule, there was a great turn out.  I greatly appreciate all the efforts of the parents and scouts.  I got ahead of the scheduled plan and planted the plants too and tested the sprinklers and we were all excited to see them going.  The bullnose brick edging is the only task tomorrow. I hope everyone enjoyed being there today!

Day 3: [It] was a very important day for me in my scouting career.  I successfully completed my Eagle Project with all of your help – fundraising and project execution.  Thank you to everyone for coming out and showing support and helping me complete all of my tasks.  It truly could not have been done without everyone and I sincerely appreciate all your efforts and time. Thank you so much.

Vivek Kasarabada's Eagle Project

.In the words of  parents Krishna & Lakshmi Kasarabada

We sincerely appreciate your time, efforts and dedication to support Vivek’s Eagle Project this last weekend. There was no way this huge project could be completed as planned without your commitment and support. By God’s Grace, we just managed these last three days with perfect weather; it rained last night and has been so windy and cold this morning.

We as a team have accomplished this and were joyous to see the culmination of this strenuous effort when the sprinklers bubbled with force, water to the beautiful rose plants in the flower planter. The pictures Vivek sent with captions tell the story of how hard the team worked.  We can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and kind support. Thanks a million!

Vivek Kasarabada's Eagle Project - Timeline

Great planing (including weather :-), execution and completion of eagle project.  You were cool, comb and collected at all times.

Praise in the words of  parent volunteer Shobana Raghavan:

Excellent work co-ordinated. Good Job on your eagle project! Pictures with caption  are intresting, its like story telling “what happened next”

Praise in the words of the family of scout volunteer Sahil Shah:

Great Job Vivek. Your pictures speaks your dedication & meticulous hard work. Congratulations to you, your parents & scoutmaster Latha.

Praise in the words of Former Chairman Ramesh Patel:

I was overjoyed to see Vivek’s work well done. I viewed the slides several times and I felt I was part of the project. I am certain this is a joyous moment for the Kasarabada family.

It was not too long ago when Vasan and I came to your house to give your son, Vivek a second chance to continue to be a Scout of Troop 394. At that time you probably had no farsight that one day Vivek could accomplish something so important in his life which will leave satisfying feelings for you to realize that as parents you have led your son to a right path.

Praise in the words of Former Scoutmaster Raju Rayasam:

I could not agree more with Dr. Patel’s thoughts and feelings about Vivek’s Eagle Project and your and Vivek’s contribution to the continued success of Troop 394.

As Dr. Patel said, I too really felt as part of the team, working on the project after going through all those pictures with captions, numerous times!!

Hearty congratulations on the successful completion of Vive’s Eagle project and for well deserved  accomplishment for your hard work, dedication and motivation.

  1. Once again, Metropolitan State Hospital has been the recipient of the excellent work of Troop 394. It has been some time since Vivek completed this gorgeous rose garden for us. The enormous amount of planning, organizing, executing and supervising of this project was staggering, Vivek’s attention to detail, thoroughness and professional work were worthy of the coveted Eagle Scout award that he earned.

Vivek led his team well and impressed me, Metropolitan State Hospital and all involved immensely. It has been such a wonderful opportunity working with Troop 394 on Vivek;s project and the other projects they have completed for us.

This is a special group of scouts and the organization could not be represented better. Vivek, epitomize the vision of The Boy Scouts of America and I am honored to be a part of your project and wonderful troop.

Thank you for your incredible contribution to Metropolitan State Hospital. We enjoy the results of everyone’s hard work on a daily basis. Everything your troop has done is of excellent quality and has improved the nursery and our program considerably.

I have enjoyed evey project we have worked together and thank each of you for your hard work, excellent service and impressive representation of the organization.

    Very best regards,
