Everyone played their part with their “love for scouting” the theme of yesterday’s G& G and made this memorable.
Green & Gold 2009
First, my sincere appreciation to all the scouts – Ankur, Bala our MCs, Rohan Raghavan , SPL who coordinated with scouts and all the boys who helped with set up, clean up, cake sale, raffle, reception, skits, flag of colors.
Thanks to all the moms who worked so hard in assisting scouts with baking their cakes/cookies and dads for supporting them and this event with fundraising on the cakes and raffle. It was special to have the grandparents and we appreciate their time and interest in our activities.
Dr. Patel, Troop Chairman, 2008 lent his support and assistance from day one with everything I needed to pull this together. I am very grateful for this. Mr. Kumaran Raghvan, present Chairman graciously supported all aspects of this event.
Mrs. Latha Vasan and Mr. Srinu Reddy guided the MCs closely on the script of this program and worked meticulously on coordinating this with the program flyer. We truly appreciate your dedication.
We missed Mrs. Rupa Shah this year. I am especially thankful to her for preparing the invitations for this event and mailing them to the list of invitees.
Mr. Niraj Shah did a splendid job with the program flyer and several guests & parents complimented the creative and special touch this year to the program flyer. He also worked on the great slide show that kept the guests and everyone in the room entertained during refreshments.
Mrs. Jagruti Mehta took care of the G & G program printing and copying and made beautiful print outs with no cost to the troop – thanks for your time and dedication to this. Our special thanks to
Mr. Kamal Mehta’s parents who kindly volunteered their time and folded all the program flyers.
Mrs. Shobana Raghavan managed the whole decorations and set up of the history tables so well with great efficiency andMrs. Hala Nakhoul assisted her with the purchase and set up – the set up was beautiful and colorful. Greatly appreciate your time and talents.
Mr. Ketan Doshi and Mr. Chandrashekar Basavalinganadoddi, historians for 2009 and 2008 coordinated the effort to pick up and bring the Troop’s special awards, memorable mementos and posters for set up at noon, great team work.
Mr. Pankaj Shah and Mr. Mohan Doraiswamy were very organized with the raffle sale and did a great job – lot of time and effort on this! Sagar, Deemal and Rithik worked hard to get the raffle tickets to attendees and help with fundraising.
Mr. Sanjay Shah and Mr. Odai Peri made the cake auction lively, exciting, and interesting and probably have made a record on the funds raised on cake sale. Uday and Sahil made this a lot of fun with their special sense of humor.
Mrs.Sudha Raghvan, Mrs. Shobana Raghavan, Mrs. Devika Mohan, Mrs. Anila Patel, Mrs. Kavitha Velmannikandan, Mrs. Hala Nakhoul and Hema Shah got there early and took care of the set up & c;ean up with great attention and made sure everything was smooth and in order including serving the food. Mr. Emmanuel and Mrs. Katrina Puyat, Mrs. Sailaja Reddy, Mrs. Ketan Doshi and Mrs. Rajula Gandhi also gave their timely help with the food set up and serving. My sincere thanks to you for all the help.
Special Thanks to Mrs. Hala Nakhoul for the delicious Nachos & cheese and Bean Dip. We truly appreciate her daughter also who was very helpful in the food set up. Mrs. Anila Patel kindly made the green and gold ribbons for all the moms, greatly appreciate her time and efforts.
Mr. Vasan – writer/editor/actor of the Trollywood skit by our Troop actors and actresses did a superb job. Mr. Aathoor Raghavan, Mr. Emmanuel Puyat, Mr.Krishna Kasarabada, Mrs. Rajula Gandhi, Mr. Sanjay Shah, & Mrs. Latha Vasan surprised us all with their special acting/singing/dancing talents and made us feel “love was in the air on this valentine’s day” .
Our grateful appreciation to Mr. Tirona, who kindly presented the invocation and benediction and sought the Divine Blessings for all.
If I missed out anyone, I sincerely apologize but without each one of you who worked so hard, this would not be possible.
